Rubik Color Trifle

Rubik Color Trifle

This Week’s theme is Rubik.

For this theme, instead of making food with the shape of a rubik, I use the color.

The colors include white, blue/black line, yellow, green and red.

For this theme, I make a trifle using the colors of a rubik.

White = Mascarpone cream

Yellow = Sponge Cake

Green = Kiwi

Red = Strawberries

Blue/Black Line = Black Grapes

I know the cake is quite messy as you can see from the pictures. But I assure you it actually tastes quite delicious and not too sweet.

So lets get started!

Ingredients :

  • Leftover sponge cake
  • 150 ml heavy cream
  • 140 gr mascarpone cheese
  • 75 gr sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional Fruits [I use kiwi, strawberries, black grapes]

Method :

  1. Line a parchment paper inside a round baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine strawberries with 25 gr sugar. In another bowl, combine kiwi with another 25 gr sugar. With the back of a fork, lightly mash the strawberries and kiwis with the sugar so as to release their jucies and then set them aside for about 10 – 15 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, stir mascarpone cheese with the remaining sugar (25 gr sugar) until smooth.
  4. In a small bowl, stir cream with a pinch of salt and vanilla essence until they are well combined. Combine the mixture with the mascarpone cheese.
  5. Whisk the mascarpone cheese and cream mixture until soft peaks form and set aside.
  6. Arrange the sponge cake (cut into small pieces) at the bottom of the baking pan and top them with the strawberries sugar mixture.
  7. Spread half of the whipped cream and mascarpone cheese over the strawberries.
  8. Arrange the remaining sponge cake on top of the mascarpone cream mixture and then top them with the kiwi sugar mixture. Spread the remaining mascarpone cream on top of the kiwi.
  9. Top the mascarpone cream mixture with black grapes and refrigerate up to 3 hours or more or until the whipped cream is stiff and the sponge cake have softened.
  10. Unmold the trifle and serve and enjoy!

Putih = Krim Mascarpone

Kuning = Kue Bolu

Hijau = Buah Kiwi

Merah = Buah Stroberi

Garis Biru / Hitam = Anggur Hitam

Jadi mari kita mulai!

Bahan :

  • Kue bolu
  • 150 ml krim
  • 140 gr keju mascarpone
  • 50 gr gula
  • 1 sdt esensi vanili
  • Sedikit garam
  • Buah [Opsional]

Metode :

  1. Letakkan kertas roti di bagian bawah loyang.
  10. Keluarkan kue dari loyang dan selamat menikmati!
